Inspiration- Water

I absolutely love this picture.  The way the water flows with the hair is just amazing, and the effect it gives the picture is just so cool.  Water is actually like the coolest thing ever.  It can move any way shape or form and form really amazing and breathtaking pictures.
This picture taken at the perfect time, of my softball friends doing a "Lemon Drop" so there called.  Right as their heads are touching the water I quick took the picture.  This picture defies gravity in so many ways and I love it.
The color contrast really stands out in this picture between pink and blue really makes me happy.  (Random fact I wrote betweem instead of between at first. ) (pulling a Marlee)  The way the shadows of the water reflect on the bottom makes the coolest imagery in the picture.

Pinhole Blog

Pinhole Blog

Pinhole pictures are so cool.  These couple pictures I found are definitely some of the most artistic and creative and just funky pictures i've seen in awhile.  The lines and all the shapes in these pictures, are what make the pictures amazing.  They almost look 3-D.

When we started to make our pinhole cameras in class, I was thinking about how its possible to take a picture with this box we created.  Although we haven't shot with our pinholes yet,  I can't wait to see what comes out from my silver and white box.  Pinhole cameras are very unique, when you actually try to take a picture and load the film i'm sure that they are very complex homemade cameras.

Shadows

Shadows are people too.

Shadows can either be a really cool effect on a drawing or a whole different side of you that shows when the sun is reflected on you.  I've always believed that shadows had a mind of their own and everyone had a shadow it was kind of like everyone having a twin walking around with them and going with their every move.  I am not going to lie, I have tried to run away from my shadow but sadly it has never worked.
Another cool thing about shadows that I love to do.  Are Shadow puppets with your hands.  Shadows can be anything you want if you have the holes in the right places.  There's nothing I love more when we don't have power and we have flashlights are to make shadow puppets.  Which I made when Hurricane Sandy hit us.  Me and my brother were trying to make really cool ones but we failed.
This is a picture that I took, I don't know what I was doing, but I looked up and I thought this shadow looked so cool.  I LOVED IT!  I don't know why it looked so cool! Everything in this picture has a shadow and it's just amazing.

Holga Blog

Double Exposure Holga

I didn't really know what to expect from a Holga.  I didn't know the types of images that could come from this little plastic camera.  When I shot my Holga film, I know I put a lot of work trying to get that amazing shot.  But When I thought about doing or trying a double exposure my mind opened up a little more and started getting a little more creative then I was before.  I think a double exposure Holga is one of the coolest pictures ever.  I love them.  I could look at them all day, I found a few of my favorites.
This is by far my favorite out of the three.  I loved the carousel when I was little and not gonna lie still do today.  But this picture is just so trippy and interesting.  The effect that it puts on your mind when you first see it, is just amazing.  I don't know whether to focus on the main horse in the center or the horse with it's mouth open behind the main horse.  I love everything about this picture

This picture really intrigues me.  I love that the photographer of this photo combined two different random things and it still looks so cool.  I love the flowers in the background, because then it's not just a boring picture of a sign it has something interesting about it that I love the effect you get when you look at it.
This picture just confuses me and that's why I love it.  I'm pretty sure that those are two different people on the same swing at the same spot.  That is just amazing. The photographer couldn't move or his photo would be ruined.  I love how the swinger that is going higher is kind of disappearing.

Someone Who makes you happy :)

Madison our Angel

Every year the Moravian Academy Field hockey team participates in Angel 34, which is an organization for little kids with cancer.  This year we decided to get a lot more involved then we usually do and actually have an angel.  When we first got our angel Madison, I already loved her because her name was the same as mine.  But when she came to our first practice she was a little shy.  But that didn't stop her from singing "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson.  She knew every single word to it.  It almost made me cry.

When we told Madison to "strike a pose" this is what she did and it was the cutest thing in the world.

Madison is our angel for a reason, she was our good luck charm all throughout the season.  She was there when we won the colonial league and received her gold medal.  I could feel her excitement.  We wanted to win for her, and nothing was gonna stop us from winning for her.  She always told us to "Score 10 goals."  She is just an amazing brightly spirited little girl. Fighting the hardest thing in the world.  Madison makes me so happy.  Every time I see her she has a huge smile on her face.  I'm so happy that she'll be staying with us throughout our basketball season and softball season I can't wait to win more games for her.

My Artistic ability in Second Grade

I can remember being in second grade and drawing this picture.  I was making it for my mom.  As I was drawing it and coloring it, I was using every single color possible to use, to make sure that my mom loved it.  I gave it to her for her birthday wrapped up in a box.  I was uneasy about giving it too her because I didn't know if she would like it.  But what mom would tell their second grader that they didn't like their daughters picture? Definitely not a single mother in this world would.  As soon as she opened up her face blossomed just like the flowers, that I had drawn and put extra time into just for her.  She loved it!  My mom said she loved the use of colors I used and that made me even happier :)

Inspiration Black & White

The HUGE difference of black and white and color

When you take a picture with all those amazing colors in it, the colors make the picture.  The colors change the pictures in many ways. The picture becomes a lot more appealing to the human eye then a plain old black and white picture.  There weren't always colored pictures, before the colored pictures, there were only black and white pictures.  Nobody could get the real effect from the black and white picture like it really was for example take this picture of Ryan with tons of pumpkins.  I feel like the picture in black and white takes away the whole point of the picture.
The difference between these two pictures in reality is the color.  But when you look at these pictures in more of an artistic way, the top photo that is black and white doesn't have the same effect as if it way in color with tons more things to look at.  Although black and white is what a lot of the pictures we take are, it just doesn't have as much artistic value in my mind as it would if the photo would have tons of colors.

Crazy and Wild Summer

Over the summer, I spent all my time either at a softball tournament far away, or just relaxing at the pool.  Summer is my favorite season to take pictures, I love everything that happens to the nature in the summer.  I took a lot of my favorite pictures in Maine.  I go to a little island called Islesboro every summer and the view is always amazing, whether it's me and my uncle waiting at night for the perfect time for that gorgeous sunset, or climbing the rocks down by the water. I love everything about it.

Here are some of the pictures that I took this summer.
