Inspiration: Clouds

I personally have a fascination with taking pictures of clouds.  I love them.  I could lay by the pool or at the beach all day and just watch them slowly migrate together.  Even if I am doing something completely different and see an amazing picture opportunity I will take it and drop everything I am doing to take the picture.  Here are some pictures of clouds at different times of the day I have taken.

Clouds are just amazing.  While experimenting with pinhole I really wanted to get a pinhole picture of the clouds but mid way through determined that it would definitely be too hard with all of the exposure.  So when we walked up from photo class I asked David how hard it would be too get a pinhole picture of the clouds and/or sky.  He said it's not that it would be hard you would just need a lot of test trials to get the exact right exposure and time and it would be very difficult and could possibly take all day.

Montage Tutorial

This is the video I used working on my montage.  I had to move images from photos that I had scanned into my ballon on my picture.  I had no clue how to do this and didn't want to just guess, so I looked up a tutorial.  The quick selection is so much easier than what I had been planning on doing.  I started out using the Lasso tool which takes forever and is not that accurate.  Also very very time consuming.  But with the quick selection took it's like magic, it just selects my image so fast and almost too perfection.

Also I had trouble with the hair, so I tried masking but found it very difficult, I watched the tutorial on that too twice, I attempted to mask one of my pictures, but I don't really think I was successful at masking.

The funny thing about both of these videos is that they were both made from the same person which is really ironic and funny.  I realized it from the voice and then checked and I was right!!

Inspiration: Something Funny

This is my cousin Malea.  She is the craziest little girl I have ever met.  The poor little baby being treated like a doll is my cousin Natalee.  This picture is just too funny to me.  Malea had done the same thing the day before with Natalee's twin sister Kaylee.  But Kaylee liked it, Natalee did not like it.  Natalee was terrified.  It was the funniest thing because it was too cute not to laugh.  She actually looked like a doll it was crazy.  Malea just thought it was completely normal to put her cousin in her doll stroller and push her around.

This picture is taking sunburn to an extreme measure.  This is my friend on my softball team's back her name is Claire.  She was at the beach for one day and came back with the worst sunburn I have ever seen.  I was in pain just looking at her bright red back!

Poster

When starting to think about ideas of what to do, I had no clue what I was going to do.  So I started taking mysterious pictures of my brother hoping that I could work with one of them.  So once I got the pictures on the computer, I realized that I really liked the outline of the picture more than the actual picture.  So I made the opacity really light to make his face not appear.  After that I decided to play around with it and see what I could do.  While experimenting with two of these outlines, I flipped them and when the two pictures were put together they created a man like looking object.  I was so happy that I had no idea what I was going to do and then just trying out different things I made a poster I was really proud of.  I was really disappointed to hear that the poster I was so proud of didn't win.  But I was still happy with the outcome of it so I guess that is all that matters! I had fun doing it and really like the advertising photo world.
